Hoya Hub

Hoya Hub logo. A heart wrapped with a spoon and fork followed by hoya hub in lowercase font.

Welcome to the webpage for the Hoya Hub food pantry–a program of the Division of Student Affairs and coordinated by the Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching & Service. The Hoya Hub is located at the 4th floor of the Leavey Center, Room 418.

The Hoya Hub food pantry is a resource for any member of the Georgetown University community experiencing food insecurity.  It is a pantry regularly stocked with non-perishable food items and available to anyone who needs food on an immediate, emergency basis.  No Hoya should go hungry; the Hoya Hub is a place to pick up nutritious food to cover short breaks or other unplanned gaps in access to meals.

Any Georgetown University community member (undergraduate or graduate student, staff or faculty member) can access the food pantry as needed.  The door to the food pantry is secured with a punch code lock; the code to the lock can be found here.

The Hoya Hub provides a variety of common, nutritious, non-perishable food and personal hygiene products.  Examples include: canned goods, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, grains, pasta, mashed potatoes, fruit cups and tuna fish.  The food pantry also includes gluten free items.

The Hoya Hub partners with the Georgetown Harvest Garden to provide fresh vegetables depending on the weekly harvest.

Hoya Hub also partners with Health Education Services on stocking products related to health needs.

The Hoya Hub is overseen by the Center for Social Justice. CSJ Operations Team student staff organize, stock, and maintain the Hoya Hub multiple times a week. Operations Team members are hired at the beginning of each semester. To join the CSJ Operations Team, email csjadmin@georgetown.edu.

The best way to support the Food Pantry is with financial donations that can be used to purchase groceries to stock the pantry. Make a gift to the Hoya Hub.

If you would like to make a non-monetary contribution to the Hoya Hub, please contact hoyahub@georgetown.edu.

To maintain food safety standards and meet our mission, Hoya Hub does not accept general perishable food donations leftover from events.
