Ad Hoc Opportunities with the HOME Program

The HOME Program is committed to providing regular and consistent programming to support the unhoused community and community partners. One-time and one-off programming is not a component of the HOME Program’s Services Teams or Street Outreach teams.

The HOME Program does coordinate opportunities for Georgetown University community members to learn more about issues of homelessness and food insecurity through four options:

  1. Programming and events during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
    Check csj.georgetown.edu/homelessnessweek for more information
  2. Events organized by the Advocacy and Research Team open to the Georgetown University community
Email homelessness@georgetown.edu or follow @homeatcsj on Instagram for more information about events
  3. Hypothermia Outreach Team’s ad hoc volunteers
Find more information and sign-up for updates at https://csj.georgetown.edu/hot
  4. Kit-Making to support the HOME Program’s Street Outreach teams and Ward 2 Mutual Aid
Weekly on Sundays at 7:30 pm or Tuesdays at 5:30 pm, on alternating weeks. Email homelessness@georgetown.edu if your student organization would like to partner with HOME to join a kit-making and education session.

If you have any questions about ad hoc opportunities, please contact us at homelessness@georgetown.edu or DM us at @homeatcsj.
